🎨 First Friday Art Walk Returns
Downtown Hanover will come alive with color and creativity on Friday, October 3, from 5 PM – 8 PM, as the monthly First Friday Art Walk invites the community to stroll, sip, and celebrate local art.
This month’s lineup of stops offers something for every kind of art lover:
Little Fox Coffee & Books will showcase painter Timothy Gasper, a self-taught artist whose work has spanned more than four decades, from solo exhibits in New England to a feature on Ghosts of Shepherdstown.
Hanover Area Arts Guild will highlight the Plein Air Painters Group, whose year-round practice of painting outdoors results in a diverse collection of oils, pastels, watercolors, and acrylics. Their “name your price” sale also makes it the perfect stop to bring a treasure home.
At the Rainbow Rose Center and Dolphin & Anchor Brew Pub, you’ll find Penny’s Pieces—delightfully unique paintings on slate tile and wood, with custom options that reflect Penny’s graphic design background and fine art touch.
Fat Bat Brewing continues its tradition of featuring in-house artist and brewer Kevin Smith, whose bold canvases and multimedia works give their taproom gallery plenty of personality.
The Serpent’s Key Shoppe & Sanctuary will feature Ryder Stephens, a mixed media artist and Hekatean witch whose creations blend ritual, texture, and protective magic.
Wicked Gems brings a luminous touch with Nolina Sutherland’s stained glass, a craft she’s honed since high school.
And at Warehouse Gourmet’s new Event Gallery, you can step into Keith Stambaugh’s [re]Collection, a show of 40 works—including collaborations with his wife, Melinda—many of which have never been displayed before.
Whether you’re an avid collector, a casual appreciator, or just looking for an inspiring way to spend a Friday evening, the Art Walk offers a chance to discover new talent, reconnect with familiar names, and see Hanover through an artistic lens.
Grab a friend, wander between stops, and let the art guide your night.

🚗 Kreeper’s Krew Car Meet: Honoring Fallen Officers
This Saturday, September 27, from 5 PM – 9 PM, Kreeper’s Krew Car Club will host a special car meet at Advance Auto (1140 Carlisle St, Hanover) with a purpose close to the heart.
The event is a fundraiser to support the families of the York County police officers who lost their lives on September 17. The first 20 people who donate $100 or more will receive a special award plaque in recognition of their generosity. Donations made by check should be written to Northern York County Regional Police Department with “honor their service” in the memo line.
Hanover Area Fire & Rescue will also be on-site to show their support, which makes this more than just a car meet. It is a community standing together in solidarity.
If you’re a car enthusiast, a supporter of first responders, or simply someone who wants to help, this is a chance to come out, connect, and give back.

📚 One For The Books: Little Fox Turns One
📍 Little Fox Coffee & Books, 125 Broadway, Hanover
This Saturday, September 27, our friends at Little Fox Coffee & Books are throwing a first birthday party that’s as sweet as their lattes. From 9 AM to 8 PM, stop by their cozy shop at 125 Broadway to celebrate a year of good reads, good coffee, and even better community.
Here’s what’s in store:
A special birthday drink available for one day only
Free Kiki’s homemade double dark chocolate chip cookies for every customer (if you know, you know)
Silent Book Club attendees get a slice of homemade chocolate cake with dark cocoa-espresso icing (they meet at 6 PM)
Brand-new merch kicking off quarterly collabs with local artists (limited quantities!)
Plus, a few surprise treats sprinkled throughout the day
In just one year, Little Fox has become more than a coffee shop and bookstore—it’s become a gathering place where neighbors connect, ideas spark, and friendships grow. Swing by this weekend to wish them a happy birthday, snag some sweets, and toast to many more years of stories shared over steaming mugs.
