Start your weekend with a stroll through Hanover’s newest monthly tradition. The First Friday Art Walk, organized by Little Fox Coffee & Books, transforms downtown businesses into pop-up galleries, featuring work from local artists and inviting the community to slow down, connect, and explore.

LGBTQIA+ families, this one’s for you. Join Little Fox Coffee & Books for their monthly Queer Family Meet Up, a cozy Saturday afternoon gathering where kids can color and play while grown-ups connect, chat, and build community.

🖍️ Coloring pages and crayons will be available (feel free to bring your own supplies too).

This event is free and family-friendly, but space is limited. Please RSVP to make sure everyone has a seat.

Run with heart. This annual 5K and 3K trail run honors Tommy Laudani, a Delone Catholic cross country runner who passed away in 2018 from a rare cancer. The scenic course winds through the beautiful trails near the Codorus Marina, and every step supports a good cause.

Wind down your weekend with a breeze, a blanket, and a little brass. The Lyric Band of Hanover, also known as Hanover’s Wind Symphony, will perform lakeside under the direction of guest conductor Edie Rice.

Bring a chair or spread out on the lawn. With views of Lake Marburg, it’s one of the most peaceful concert spots in town.

No tickets, no fuss. Just music under the open sky.

I’ve been thinking about trying something new: sending two newsletters each week. You’ll still get your usual Friday edition, plus a shorter Thursday email that highlights the top 5 events coming up that weekend.

This is the first test run of that idea. The day might shift, or I may go back to sending everything on Fridays. Hard to say what works until we try, right?
